Sexual AssaultNobody can imagine, the way the 14-year old must go through when she had been kidnapped and sexually assaulted for 2 weeks. Elizabeth Smart was the victim of sexual assault when she had been kidnapped at age 14 from her residence by a homeless preacher called Brian David Mitchell and his wife, Wanda Barzee. Following the kidnapping, Brain shot her into the forests and wed her at a bizarre ritual and then attacked her for eight months until she was rescued. Following the episode has been discovered, Brian David was sentenced to life-term imprisonment while Wanda is presently serving a 15-year prison term. Together with her previous dreadful experience, Elizabeth has established the Elizabeth Smart Foundation which aims to prevent violence and conscious individuals of those young women who were victims of sexual trafficking and abuse.
